CAHOOTS HANDBAGS /

PAIGE DAVIDSON

 STUDIO

205 S. Commerce, Gainesville TX 76240

The quirky George Y Bird building, with its original wood floors and mural from the Bird Drygood Store at the turn of the century, provides a fitting backdrop for Cahoots Handbags, handmade from vintage textiles such as 1940s German mattress ticking in tiny limited editions.  These handbags, made by artist Paige Davidson and sew-wizard Marsha Davidson, have been featured among the pages of magazines such as Jane and Lucky.  They were also made a "fashion must-have" on Good Morning Texas and were given to the nominees of the 2011 Academy Awards and MTV Movie Awards.

The store is home to the work of local artist Paige Davidson.  Her paintings and drawings have shown in national and international galleries and in the 2005 film Hate Crime and the FOX show The Good Guys. Stop by to meet the artist/designer and to see the handmade lines by Paige and her fantastic artist friends.

Store Hours:  M-SAT  10am-5pm
